Acupuncture is a form of alternative medicine and a component of traditional Chinese medicine in which thin needles are inserted into the body. Acupuncture is a pseudoscience; the theories and practices of TCM are not based on scientific knowledge, and it has been characterized as quackery. It is an age-old healing practice of traditional Chinese medicine in which thin needles are placed at specific points in the body. It's primarily used to relieve pain but also has been used to treat other conditions.

Luke Lee is a physiotherapist who graduated from Manchester Metropolitan University, UK, with a degree in physiotherapy. He also studied kinesiology at the University of British Columbia and is a Registered Physiotherapist in the UK as a member of the Health and Care Professions Council and Chartered Society of Physiotherapy in the United Kingdom.

Luke has worked at Manchester Children’s Hospital in the UK and is experienced in working in a variety of settings: a fast-paced physiotherapy clinic in Vancouver, community healthcare, hospitals and care homes in BC. He is experienced in treating ICBC/WCB cases including chronic pain, motor vehicle injuries, post-operative rehab, and work-related injuries.

Since a young age, Luke was engaged in competitive sports and had many debilitating injuries including a complete tear in his ACL, surrounding ligaments, and meniscus while playing on the varsity badminton team. He understands the pain, mental suffering, and the recovery process from a patient perspective.

Luke is passionate about tailoring treatment plans and using a holistic approach to meet his patients’ needs. He specializes in manual therapy, deep tissue massage, manipulation, fascial stretch therapy, osteoporosis, stroke, sport, sciatic, post-surgery, clinical Pilates, electromuscular stimulation, shockwave and exercise prescription.

Luke enjoys competing in badminton, ice hockey, and swimming in his spare time. He also enjoys playing piano for church and music writing
